I was uninstalling another app when I noticed that there are two application icons for Firefox, one dated 3/25 2023 and one dated 9/26/2023 (just installed new update). How do I get rid of the first application dated 3/25/2023?

The one under program files (X86) is a 32-bit Firefox version. If you can uninstall this version then that is preferred to cleanup the Windows Registry. If there are files leftover in this folder after uninstalling then you can remove the program files (X86) Firefox folder.

Do both point the the same installation folder or to different installation folders as it is possible that the older is a leftover from a previous version that wasn't removed or modified with updating ?

Under "program files" folder there is one, there is one folder for Mozilla Firefox dated 9/28/2023. There is also a "program files (X86) that has one folder for Mozilla Firefox, dated 3/29/2023.

I am a total novice with this stuff so please bear with me on this. Can I just simply delete the Firefox folder within the program files (X86) folder??

I have an HP Elite laptop, windows 10 Pro, I5 processor, 64 bit system

Problem solved. Firefox seems to be running much faster, multiple programs can now be opened with a long delay. Thank you!
