Hi there. I'm using Firefox on Windows 10. It freezes and crashes frequently when I use Chinese language input. I've updated and done the full list of troubleshooting tips. It still happens at least once or twice a day.

Are you using the On-Screen Keyboard (OSK)?

Does it still happen in Troubleshoot Mode?

If you have submitted crash reports, please post the IDs of one or more recent crash reports that start with "bp-".

  • bp-xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxx

You can find the report ID of recent crash reports on the "Help -> More Troubleshooting Information" (about:support) page.

  • click the "All crash Reports" button on this page to open the about:crashes page and see all crash reports.

Alternately, you can open about:crashes via the location/address bar.

See "Viewing reports outside of Firefox":

Hi. Thanks zeroknight and cor-el.

I am not using on-screen keyboard, but the Chinese pinyin input method (Microsoft) uses a little pop-up shown in the image attached. In fact, Firefox crashed again when I input Chinese to take this screenshot! This doesn't happen every time I input Chinese, only occasionally, and typically at least once or twice a day.

I have not used troubleshoot mode, but I'll try that today.

I do not see any crash reports related with this issue, so I can't submit them. I don't know why the information isn't being collected. Firefox just freezes, and then Windows gives me the option to wait on Firefox or close it. I have tried waiting, but it just freezes forever, so I close it. Windows says it collects information, but I do not see anything in Firefox.

Hi zeroknight. I've been trying to use Troubleshoot Mode when I think of it. I used it today and the issue happened while in Troubleshoot Mode. In this case it just froze. Windows didn't give me the option to close Firefox. I had to use the Task Manager to close Firefox.
