Firefox asks for password on startup after recent update

Hi! After a routine update today to Mozilla Firefox 127.0 for Linux Mint, Firefox is asking for my master password before letting me continue. Sync does not appear to be enabled.

I'd really rather it didn't do this, because my password manager is now always open and accessible. Previously, the master password request was only triggered when I came on a site that needed a password.

Anything I can do to fix this?

Thanks for any pointers!

Seems to be a known bug and should only occur once, if I've understood the explanation correctly. I'll give it a go ad if it doesn't work, report back.

Hi, Yes, the master password is set as it has been for years as in your screenshot.

The issue is really just the usual "Please enter your master password" pop-up dialogue box that appears when I visit a website that requires a username and password which I've already stored...no obvious difference, except now it comes at start-up, won't let me continue, and therefore all my stored password are always accessible when I have the browser open.

Thanks!
