Why is TEMU showing up as an ad in my new tab?
I would never buy anything from TEMU, but I was shocked to see an icon for their storefront when I opened a new tab today. Haven't they been the subject of articles and class-action lawsuits about their privacy violations, illegal data collections, not to mention the shoddy products and knock-offs and labor violations...?

Hello:
It looks like the TEMU icon is a 'sponsored' icon. That means it is not related to anything you did, changed, or sites visited. It is an advertisement plain and simple.

Correct - it is a sponsored ad & I dug into the details about Mozilla's partnership with the ad provider, both state altruistic intentions with ad targeting and what not which is why I posted the question, in the manner that I did. Thanks
