Firefox attempting to open files before download finishes
Recently when I try to download a file Firefox seems to give it a random amount of time before it attempts to open the file. For small files this isn't a problem, as it always seems to give at least a few seconds, but larger files get cut off. This leaves the file corrupted/incomplete.
I have no idea why is started doing this. Just one day it started opening everything I downloaded, be it PDF, image etc when complete. I turned this off and it has stopped for things that download properly, but it's still doing this 'cut off' attempt to open.
Any help would be appreciated, thanks,

Hard to help with something we cannot see. Steps to replicate?
I don't know what to tell you. It's literally any time I 'Save As' or click a download link I get the small indicator of a download but then, before it's done, it tries to open. The file is invariably corrupted/incomplete.
Below is a pic- I tried downloading the same file 7 times before the random 'opening now' even occurred. As you can see, sometimes it's early, sometimes it's later. It seems entirely random.
It has occurred doing everything from STL files to Nvidia GPU drivers from their site.
Incidentally, even with the automatic open set to false in the config, it has begun opening everything automatically again. Click to save a PDF- instantly opens. Even larger files it finishes like STLs immediately get opened.
I have no idea how to replicate it, it's just happening automatically.
