Recently all my searches are forced redirects away from my intended sites. Once at the redirect I cannot go back to search. I close Firefox and either try again or go to another browser. How can I stop these redirects. I've run Malwarebytes, Spybot Search & Destroy & Glary Utilities. Nothing helps. I've deleted & reinstalled Firefox. Worked good the first time I ran it and then the redirects started up again. Now I'm getting some bogus PC Alert which tries to scan my system. I shut down firefox Immediately. Any ideas?

Maybe, it's related to Gumblar

GooredFix might help you. GooredFix means Google Redirect Fix.

It's definitely malware. Most likely, it came through either Flash or Javascript or even PDF file.

Maybe, ScanSafe or Sophos are better than MalwareBytes at detecting it, I don't know. But GooredFix should fix it, I hope.

In worst case, use ComboFix.

Does it help you?

Install NoScript to prevent bad sites from running Javascript.

Stop PDF files from running javascript: open Adobe Reader, go to Edit->Preferences...->Javascript and check off "Enable Acrobat Javascript" so that Javascript couldn't be run in PDF.
