Since switching to windows7, my username and password aren't saved so every time I open firefox I have to type them in even if I tell it to save them.

ever since I got windows7 I haven't been able to save my username and password. So, every time I want to open firefox, I have to type them in even if I tell it to save them.

You may have told Firefox to never remember passwords. See Usernames and passwords are not saved

Websites remembering you and automatically log you in is stored in a cookie that you must allow: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Exceptions" Make sure that you do not use Delete browsing, search and download history on Firefox to clear the "Cookies" and the "Site Preferences"
