I want to merge one list of bookmarks with another without overwriting, yet adding the differences either.

Due to a near fatal desktop crash, I had to use another desktop for several weeks. I want to add the new , new bookmarks to my old profile which was recovered from the crashed drive. The new set however, does not contain the long history of the original. Current method only allow me to overwrite/restore one to the other while losing the one overwritten. Is there a way to "update" one bookmark list with another without overwriting, or some other way to add to the original list? Because of the near crash, the new list is rather long and the original list, really long.

Export the new bookmarks to an HTML file and import that file in the old profile.
