How do I get bookmark folders to automatically close?

When I open a folder in the bookmarks pane it stays open until I manually close it. I'd like to change that. I've tried two addons: Auto Close Folder in Library and another similarly named one, neither of which did what I was wanting.

Is there a setting in Firefox or another addon that does what I want?

Per your suggestion I tried it and it doesn't work either. Thanks for the suggestion, though.
