When I attempt to log in to several sites requiring cookies, I get this: The page isn't redirecting properly Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete.

  * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies.

I have tried all suggestions I could find: Privacy options set to accept 3rd party cookies, all cache and cookies cleared, network.http.sendRefererHeader;2

I can get to the websites using another computer with IE.

This happened after I set options to NOT accept 3rd party cookies. But I have since re-set privacy to accept 3rd party cookies. Cookies show up in the Show Cookies list and are cleared when Remove is clicked.

If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted.
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite and cookies.txt, if they exist, in the Profile Folder in case cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

Got it!

Discovered that my IE 8 browser wasn't taking cookies either, so I figured it had to do with the OS. But instead it was my security software. I had checked that eariler, but I looked again and it was blocking session cookies. Fixed it.

Thanks for the help.
