Looks like a problem with the RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions)

Be sure not to get confused with the RealPlayer plugin (Tools > Add-ons > Plugins) that plays media files.
The extension adds some extra features like saving media files.

You can disable/remove the RealPlayer Browser Record Plugin extension in the RealPlayer Preferences (RealPlayer: Tools > Preferences > Download & Recording)

The problem occur before the page could load. The page will be loading but there will be no display of the webpage. When I click on the close button on the tab, the whole firefox crash.

Plugin-container is the most worst feature ever for firefox 3.6!!! Very slow, high cpu usage. When this happen, firefox freeze, unable to respond to clicks for a moment until plugin-cointainer back to normal. I think you maybe load page that contain flash (embedded youtube, facebook game).

Just my suggestion--->change to googlechrome if that happen.

It's true. My Windows 7 hangs at times. As a result, the firefox crash. Imagine a lot of tabs are open. All has to reload again.
