Hello,

Recently I have noticed that the drop down menus on websites and on the URL bar are appearing very briefly and then disappearing. I am no longer able to select the item from the list. However as a workaround I am able to type the first letter of my selection on the drop down list and the choice will be made.

I have Dell Inspiron Laptop with a base model video card (not nvidia).

Thanks for any assistance you can offer.

Hello,

Interesting. After posting this I realized it was my wireless mouse acting up. I plugged in a different mouse and the problem was solved.

Regards, Jason

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

  • Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

See:

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.

  • Use "Disable all add-ons" on the Safe mode start window to disable all extensions.
  • Close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit")
