I have a word document with many hyperlinks in it that I often use. It previously worked fine with firefox, but a few days ago (around the time firefox did an update) it stopped working. Now when I click on the links nothing happens. Also tried Ctrl+click, nothing. If I want to use firefox, I have to cut and paste the link now. Switched my default browser to IE and the links work fine with IE. I'm using word 2000 on a Vista home prem OS if it makes a difference. I updated to firefox 4.0 to see if it fixed the problem (didn't) - was using previous version when it started. Thanks.

I had the same problem recently. I found that my connection settings in Firefox had been set to use proxy settings. I switched it back to Auto-detect and everything worked fine including my word hyperlinks. My MS explorer had to be reset also, I don't know how they were both changed. Hope this helps!

That was it. Would have never found that myself. Thanks!

I found one solution. I was using the draw feature of Word to create little boxes around the hyper-links I created. When I removed the boxes and just left the words, the links worked fine. Firefox sees the boxes as pictures, objects, whatever but it does not recognized the links within. This would not be a great solution if you need to have the links look professional (inside objects, buttons, whatever) but if you need the site to work right now this is a work around. The typed links by themselves work fine.
