Why am I re-directed by plomedia with the new firefox?

Re-installed/un-installed several times. I have the newest/updated Norton and Mal-ware tools, etc. Example: Google, type in Easter,click selected site and I see English text and then plomedia search, and often another search or shopping site appears. i am not having said problem on IE9. I believe browser was hijacked/compromised. However with complete clean removal and new installations it seems to worsen. Thank you
