Hp desktop running Microsoft Vista. Had FF 3.5 and tried to download FF 4.0. Each time I try to start FF says working offline, click button to get online but I don't know where/how to do this. At the same time my IE went down and I can't open IE either. Safari works OK as does other programs. How do I get FF "on line"?

I have used FF for years! I was very happy with the service. Suddenly a little over a week ago, FF would no longer load. I've tried everything including arriving here through a circuitous and irritating route via the despised Internet Explorer. Please let me have my Firefox back! I have attempted to download the three latest versions; same result.

My blog was hijacked awhile back; is it possible someone used it and violated one of FF's rules?
