When closing a window, why do I receive the alert that the tabs in another window are closing? Bug?

As far as I can tell, this is a bug in Firefox 4, since it started happening when I installed the latest version. It's not a major issue, just an annoyance.

This occurs when I have multiple windows open in Firefox 4 (i.e. popup windows or otherwise) with multiple tabs open in one or more of those windows. In Options > Tabs, I have it set to "Warn me when closing multiple tabs."

If I close the secondary window or popup, it does so, but I then receive the alert that I'm about to close multiple tabs in the first window. Afraid this would happen, I usually click Cancel, and the main window stays open, while the secondary one closes, as it should.

I then tested what would happen when clicking Close Tabs (instead of Cancel or X). Nothing different. It just closes the alert, and my original window stays open with all the tabs intact.

Anyone else seeing this or know what the issue might be?

Probably caused by an incompatible extension.

Do you have that problem when running in the Firefox SafeMode?
A troubleshooting mode.
You can open the Firefox 4.0 SafeMode by holding the Shft key when you use the Firefox desktop or Start menu shortcut. Or use the Help menu item, click on Restart with Add-ons Disabled... while Firefox is running.
To exit the Firefox Safe Mode, just close Firefox and wait a few seconds before using the Firefox shortcut to open it again.
