With firefox 4 my saved tabs are not always saved (and I have no recovery tab) if I open firefox through an email link - the old firefox versions didn't do this - solution?

I do a lot of research on the web and will often have 20+ firefox pages open and firefox generally gives me the option to reopen them with each session. Since downloading firefox 4 this is no longer reliable - if I click on an email link before opening firefox it will default to a new page and dump all my research pages without any apparent way of recovering them except going through history one by one. A huge loss of time! Everything else is great, but I am ready to go back if this feature is not correctable.

What's to be corrected? You open Firefox via an external program, and then forget to restore your previous session before closing Firefox - and the previous session is lost. User error.

The proper way of handling that situation is to use History > Restore Previous Session, before closing Firefox. Or install a session manager extension that is capable of saving multiple previous sessions.

Thank you - the history does allow this. In previous firefox versions it was a bit more automatic no matter how you opened it. Thanks again.
