I want to disable add-ons
I want to disable all add-ons, so that I can then (by re-enabling one at a time) work out which one is hogging my virtual memory. Unfortunately, whenever I try to get to the add-ons item on the menu, Firefox for some reason diverts and loads a Firefox webpage about add-ons instead. This is extremely creepy: I want control over Firefox, not a list of the add-ins I'm using being sent to Firefox Central. I can see that Firefox is being contacted, but that's not what I want. How can I enable and disable add-ins without information about this being passed over the net (to you)?

Firefox 4 opens a new tab titled "Add-ons Manager" listing your Add-ons, unlike previous Firefox versions that opened a separate small window with your Add-ons listed. When on that "Add-ons Manager" tab, the URL/Location/Address bar should show about:addons . Is that what is happening?
