how do I make the security icon for passwords appear on browser?
the icon for remembering passwords often does not show up. When that happens, how do I get a password saved. Also how do I access the list of saved sites and passwords?

The website may be using autocomplete=off to prevent Firefox from saving the name and password.
You can remove autocomplete=off with a bookmarklet to make Firefox save the name and password.
