When I start Firefox, it defaults to iGoogle,<http://www.google.com/ig?client=firefox-a&hl=en&tab=vw&source=iglk&aig=0&reason=1>

But when I open a new tab, it opens a page with no url that says: "Powered by Ask" to the lower-right of the search window. On the bottom of the screen, it says: "Copyright 2011 APN LLC · Disable the new tabs search feature."

I don't want to disable the feature, I just want the new tabs to open on iGoogle.

Can I do that? If so, how?

Thanks

Rob

You can look at this extension to set which page to open in a new tab:

Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).

You can open the about:config page via the location bar and do a search for ask.com via the Filter at the top of the about:config page.
You can reset all ask.com related prefs that appear bold (user set) via the right-click context menu to their default values.

Thanks. I just gave up and disabled the feature. Now I just get a blank page when I open a new tab, and then click my "home" icon to get what I want.

Is there any way to get my default "home" page to be the "new tab" default?

Thanks again.
