There is a UX branch discussion thread over here.
http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2230295
You can view that thread, but to post there you'll need to register and log in.
This is a Comcast page. At the bottom you see disable this page, or how do I disable this page. disable, it works
That doesn't look like it's related to the subject of this thread.
BTW: Firefox 12+ versions have a browser.newtabpage.enabled pref to disable the about:newtab page.
The default of that pref in Firefox 12 (currently Beta) is false and is true in Firefox 13 (currently Aurora).
