After updating, Firefox browser will no longer open at all. Can't delete Firefox either so I can try again.
I updated to the latest version of Firefox. It did turn off my add-ons. Tried to install the app to force turn on of add-on but there was NO "add to Firefox" button as per instructions. Tried the suggestion regarding when instructed to download instead of install add-on app & did not work either. Cannot get the Firefox browser to open at all. checked all my firewalls and those are cleared. Cannot delete Firefox browser either because it keeps saying that I need to close Firefox browser before uninstall and there are no Firefox browser windows open. What now? Firefox was my main web browser and I start my online college classes at the end of next week! Please help.

A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.
