Due to my computer shutting down when turned on the motherboard and power supply was replaced. After the new hardware it still wold not open so the operating system was determined as compromised and a new hard drive with new operating system was installed. In this process the original hard drive is still operate on the second hard drive line with the "Programs" and respective files in it. Is there a specific file that has been saving my Bookmarks over the years that I can retrieve and install in the new Firefox?

CARE most suggestions will destroy existing bookmarks records by overwriting them so immediatly back up bookmarks manually to a safe locaton (e.g your Windows desktop; not within the Firefox profile or program paths)

If you have the original hdd the bookmarks are in the file places.sqlite if you replace the current places.sqlite with the old one that will restore your bookmarks. There are other useful backups and methods of restoring. The files are NOT within the programs path, they are in the profile (you will have multiple files if you have multiple accounts).

It is not normal to replace a hdd or MotherBoard just because a computer was shut down whilst powered up, if your hdd is so corrupt that it had to be replaced & would not operate then it may not have valid profile files on it. Have you already tried the old hdd, are you able to navigate and access files on it ? and have you already tried tried opening and using some of those files ?
