When opening Firefox mail.ru opens instead
Hi There.I unfortunatly downloaded a Russian misstaking it for some thing else.Ihave checked my computer.for viruses with both Bullguard and Mawarebytes and both came up no problems,but every time I try to open Firefox and my Home Page (ntlworld.com )this other program opens up instead.@mail.ru.When I open Internet Properties it shows correctly my home page address but Use Current button is greyed out.I have been in to add and remove and removed but unfortunatlywhen I click on Firefox it opens with , @mail.ru.I have restarted Firefox without add ons. Mail.ru seems to be sneaking in changes to Firefox settings according to this article: http://www.exterminate-it.com/malpedia/remove-mail-ru. That page also explains how you can get rid of it and restore your normal Firefox settings. Please follow the instructions and see if that works.
Also (unrelated to your issue here), be sure to upgrade to the latest version of Firefox, 9.0, to ensure you stay protected with security updates. This link walks you through the process: Update Firefox to the latest release
