I'm not able to open a new tab when clicking on the "+" sign next to the primary page tab.
When I'm in the initial web page that opened when Firefox loaded, I'm not able to open a new tab/page when I click on the "+" sign. Is there a setting I need to adjust? Thanks.

upgrade your browser to Firefox 8 and try
Thanks Swarnava - the upgrade to 8.0 worked.
It is possible that your problem was caused by an extension that was disabled after updating.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
