Firefox crashes when trying to open it – I've tried everything recommended, still nothing. I don't get a crash report – it just hangs and I have to force quit.

Firefox was working fine. My computer shut down due to battery draining, and when I restarted I couldn't open Firefox again. I've tried redownloading and installing new, opening in safe mode, updating all plug-ins, etc., still nothing.

Any suggestions?

Thanks for the quick reply, but the link you recommended was for someone with Windows XP, where I'm on Mac OS 10.5.8, so the steps they have in there wouldn't apply to me.

Any other suggestions?
