For months now evenafter clearing all history when re launching FireFox it opens the original Tabs set months ago. I can not get it to remember my new tabs

Thank you "ideato" It was actually the reverse of what you said. I did not have "Show my windows and tabs from last session" checked. Wow cant beleive I missed that. Thanks

Look if you have in Options window then General panel at Startup session in When fiirefox starts Show my windows and tabs from last time, change-it to Show my home page, and put your home page.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Delete the sessionstore.js [2] file and possible sessionstore-##.js [3] files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost, so you will have to create them again (make a note or bookmark them).
