Want Firefox for Android phone but NOT thru Android marketplace
I don't want a gmail address(required for Android store) because is is key to Google's new privacy destruction campaign. Answer soon I have less than a week to return Razr which is otherwise great.

You will need to enable installation of non-market apps in the Android settings.
There are no update notifications for Firefox mobile. You will need to get the new version manually to get the latest security, stability and feature fixes. These releases happen every 6 weeks.
