Passphrase to recovery key data loss.
I am used to firefox sync having a passphrase to get into my firefox sync. When I had to wipe my computer and reinstall everything I didn't first get a recovery key because I haven't needed one yet.
The good news is I have firefox for android with my account. The bad news is it doesn't give me a recovery key and the three lines of 4 digits code isn't working. Can somebody help me fix this so I don't loose all my data.

If you have Firefox Sync on an Android device then use this extension.
- Show Sync Key: http://limpet.net/key/ (Android)

Thank you as soon as I turned on the add-on compatibility option it worked and now I have my data back.
Thank you a thousand times you have saved my metaphorical life.
This Add-on doesn't work on Firefox 11.0 nor on Android 3.2.
You need the Firefox browser in your Android device.
Just open it and you can download the add-on so you can see the Recovery Key in your mobile Firefox.
Take in count though, that it only be useful if you were using the Android version of Firefox and this was connected to your Sync account before you lost access to your other device.
Let me know if you need extra help.
The Firefox that is installed on my tablet GT-P7510 is Version 10.0.3. The Android Version is 3.2. When I tap to install the add-on the system, it shows that it was impossible to install because it is not compatible with Firefox.
You have to turn on "force add-on compatibility" in the settings tab with a B. That will let you run it and it will work.
I often wonder why they can't run multiple compatibility systems for add-ons so that it is fully backwards compatible with everything.
It must be an error. In my system, there is not such option "force add-on compatibility" to be turned on.
However, I found the add-on checkCompatibility 1.3 at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/checkcompatibility/ that disables checking by default.
Try this other one, it does exactly the same thing as the other one:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/addon/aboutsynckey/
I hope it helps.
