Running XP Pro w/sp3. I use Firefox with my profile on the network. I have 2 locations that use this profile. After the last 3 version changes in Firefox I have to create a new profile to correct the slow & stalling out of web pages & Firefox it self loading. Not a problem in IE. I have done all the stuff in the forum (add on, cache, ext, & so on). These things help but no fix. 1 person in the forum suggested trying a new profile & that work. A new profile works great & is fast until a version change like 11. Any help or fix would be great. This time when I updated to 11 & the slow down happened right after, I just created a new profile again & moved bookmarks & every thing is back to normal? Any one have any other things to try?

After you create a new profile, do you install extensions? perhaps one of those extensions is causing the slowness?

Try these couple of troubleshooting steps:

Run all Windows Updates, install all needed service packs, etc.

Update your graphics driver (Firefox uses your graphics card for some rendering, and an out of date graphics card driver can cause problems. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-upgrade-my-graphics-drivers.

Update all your plugins (Flash, Java, etc.): http://www.mozilla.org/plugincheck/.

Download and Install MalwareBytes Anti-Malware, run a full Scan. http://www.malwarebytes.org/. This helps check that there are no viruses on your computer causing issues. you can uninstall this program after you clean off any infections.

Yes I do install extensions as they where in previous version. My windows is up to date & my graphics card was just updated 3 weeks ago. I try & keep plugins up to date but doesn't seem to make a differences. I use Malwarebytes & Eset (nod32). No firewalls but on my NetGear box. The problem remains even when I run FF in safe mode. It seems to be some thing in my profile. The only thing that I have not tried that I can think of is not to have my profile on the network server & try that at a version change??
