Hi,

I'm using outlook and salesforce CRM. Some email using special characters (such as ê,à,ô etc..) have a problem of encoding when I try to open them in Salesforce through Firefox. I've disscussed with salesforce help desk; They have proposed to manage UTF-8 encoding through 2 ways : 1. Firefox menu, go to Web Developer, open Character Encoding menu and select Unicode (UTF-8). 2. - Firefox menu, click Options. - Go to the Content tab and under 'Languages', click Choose.. - In the Languages window that opens, open 'Select a language to add..' - From the list, choose French [fr] and save the settings.

in both cases, it does not provide a solution.

when I try to open these emails in salesforce through Internet Explorer it works well.

Any idea to solve?

What do you see instead of those accented characters?

Are you sure that they are encoded with Unicode and not with an 8 bit Western or Windows encoding?

Instead of these charaters, i see a small square with figures inside. I'm not sure that characters are encoded with unicode, but Salesforce support told me to verify UTF-8 encoding...

A little box with a hex code in it means that the font that is used doesn't have those characters.

Which code do you see in those boxes?
