Hi, Updated to FF13 when it told me. However, now when I use the Google search bar in the top right, it takes me to google China or some other silly country with messed up symbols. URL is https://www.google.com/ But it is certainly not english version like normal

Please help!!

Can you tell from the url bar whether it is actually google.com messed up or one of the many localized sites (e.g., google.com.tw)?

Google will redirect queries to google.com if it detects that you are accessing the site through an ISP in another country. In those cases, if you go to that Google home page, there usually is a link toward the bottom of the page to always use google.com instead.

Does any of that seem relevant?

Helpful-ish

That is what I see when I do a search for any topic.

My IP shows as my local exchange town in the UK, 2 miles away from home, so Google cannot be getting a dodgy reading there.

Before I upgraded/updated to FF13, the search bar always used to use google.co.uk for its searches, now it uses some .com site over a secure connection and in a foreign language.

Thanks for your reply.
