On this PC Google calendar works with Chrome, but not with Firefox, v18.x, my default browser. On another PC running Firefox 15.x.x it works OK, just as it does with Chrome on that PC. Calendar worked fine until a few days ago. What happened? I have cleared cache, temporary internet files, browser history, uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, checked settings on McAfee, allowed www.google.com.

Is anything retrieved from the server if you check the Net log (GET lines; disable other messages to get a clearer view) via the Web Console (Web Developer > Web Console;Ctrl+Shift+K)?

You need to do a hard refresh via Ctrl+F5 to reload all files from the server.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
