I will file a bug for this to see where this went.

The feature was removed because of a user reporting earlier on that the feature did not perform as they liked it to. I will see how this will go as I try to get this back.

Hey that sounds great thanks! Yeah I think I saw that post..something about the multiwindow screen button blocking the x button for the search the page function.

Honestly, I'd rather have the multiwindow functionality and be forced to change from full screen to the smaller multiwindow to close the find box window. You can also go into multiwindow and expand the box to fit most of the screen and still have the x button. Maybe mozilla could include an option in enable multiwindow instead of having to find a new place to put the search/multiwindow button...

I'm amazed at how responsive mozilla is, but I think it would have been better to have waited for a full fix rather than removing multiwindow all together to fix such a minor issue.

I appreciate your help! Have a good day!

BTW I really hope that it's brought back considering how big a selling point this was for the tablet. It would be a shame to have to go back to mozilla android or move over to chrome/stock browser if they decide to institute the same update considering how good the app is.

It was removed because in https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/950866 the split screen mode adds a button over the Firefox UI and can block web page content.

I don't think It blocks any webpage content it just blocks the x button for the find function. Chrome has the button in the same location and I don't think its a big deal.

Minimize and x it or minimize it or expand the window to full screen with your hand and theres no issue if you want to use find.

Anyways, I'll wait a couple more days to give the devs some time to find a solution, but if not I'll move on.

Hey I wanted to know if there was an update to the solution? If not, I'll switch to another browser. Thanks...

Hi! I have a similar problem. I can't run Firefox in multi-window using my Samsung Note 2. Please enable this feature.

Thanks a lot for your support.
