When you uninstall Firefox, one of the options is to leave or remove your personal data. Hopefully you left it undisturbed.

What is the operating system of the computer where you want to recover your Firefox data?

Generally speaking:

Please note that Firefox's bookmark storage formats might not be easily accessible to programs other than Firefox.

Is reinstalling Firefox an option, or where are you planning on moving them?

I did reinstall but they didn't automatically come back so I'm trying to figure out how I can transfer them back in

Are the files still under C:\Users or are they in an Old Firefox Data folder on the desktop?

If they are still in their original location and you haven't done much setup on the new install yet, it's worth checking whether you can easily switch back using the Profile Manager.

Exit Firefox and start up in the Profile Manager using Start > search box (or Run):

firefox.exe -P

Any time you want to switch profiles, you can exit Firefox and return to this dialog. Are you able to find your old profile listed and start of Firefox in it?

Note: Before deleting unneeded profiles, I suggest making a backup of all your profiles just in case something were to go wrong.

Yes there under c: user I can see them saved as .file I will try Firefox.exe see what I can do

No old profile there

I misunderstood your earlier post. .file is not a normal file extension for Firefox data. Did you have to do some kind of recovery? Can you find a folder named bookmarkbackups?

I will have to look for it
