Since I got my new tablet, copy and paste hasn't been working properly. Actually, it may be a selection issue.

When I try to select text to copy, it is difficult to get it into selection mode. When I long tap, it acts like I did a regular tap. When I finally get text copied, it's even harder to paste. I thought it was supposed to give me the paste option when I tapped in the spot where the text goes. Usually it just puts the cursor there. Sometimes it shows a single handle below the cursor. But it almost never gives me the option to paste.

Am I doing something wrong? I downloaded Firefox yesterday, so I know it's up-to-date.

Hmm...... Check out the options on the tablet. It may be set for a longer tap then what you are using.

It says it's set for short, and I've tried giving it a pretty long time.

Does it work otherwise as far as pressing the screen goes? Have you noticed any other problems? Is there a way to change the commands for copy / paste? Check that it's properly set.

Yes, tapping and pressing the screen in general seems to be fine, although I don't have a ton of things asking for the long tap. Where would I look for that type of setting?

I don't know much about tablets but they use much the same user interface as other types of computers. I was hoping the problem was just a settings option. Check your user manual. It might have something. You should be able to find one on-line if you don't have one.
