FF keeps running on background after visiting Google mail.

Since FF 25, and with gtalk installed, FF keeps running on background only after visiting Gmail. Disabling the Gtalk addon the problem is the same. If visiting gmail with HTML only (slow connection) then firefox exit successfully. All other sites (F 25, 26 and 27) works fine. It is clear to me that is a Gtalk problem.

if uninstalling Gtalk plugin then FF (25 upto 27) closes on success.

The same problem was detected with the following recent Linux distribution: Ubuntu, OpenMandriva 2013, Mandriva 2010.2, Mandriva 2011 and Suse, on different machines but with similar hardware.

Gtalk works (call phone, chats and video calls) while it is running without problem, but at FF closing time it keeps running on background and did not allow open another window, except with option -new-instance.

Hi, Patrick. Tanks for your help. There is something really magic with javascript code at gmail at "standard view". The problem did not happen visiting gmail using "HTML only (slow connection)" after I defines that view mode as default. if I start "HTML only" and changing to "standard" then the FF goes to background.

I'm marking the report as closed.
