Without fail, when a Firefox window that has a YouTube video playing in it is minimized, Flash crashes, as seen in this hang report: https://crash-analysis.mozilla.com/hang-reports/2014/02-25/hr-20140225-5305ba50-94ff-4eb2-a329-f0e7900af76b.html

This has been happening (to me) for over a year now, on a couple systems, on a couple networks.

That is a problem with the Shockwave Flash plugin.

You can check for problems with current Shockwave Flash plugin versions and try this:

  • disable protected mode in the Flash plugin (Flash 11.3+ on Windows Vista and later)
  • disable hardware acceleration in the Flash plugin
