So I recently made a twitter account, but i realized that when I would sign out and then attempt to sign back in, my account will almost never load. It will just stay on the twitter home page. It will show the spinning circle in the address bar for like a second, but then it will stop. I have to click "Sign in" like 10 times before it will actually sign in. I reset firefox, but that still hasn't solved that particular issue. Has anyone else experienced something like this or know how to fix it?

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

It is possible that the cookies.sqlite file that stores the cookies is corrupted if clearing cookies doesn't work.

Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookies files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox profile folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

I cleared the cache and that didn't solve the issue. There was no cookies.sqlite or anything like it either :/

I think the issue is on Twitter's side not Firefox's . I suggest reporting the issue to Twitter's Support team here:

You can also try to enable third-party cookies if you have currently third-party cookies disabled.

To see all History and Cookie settings, choose:

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window.

Nope, none of those worked either.
