When switching to a new email address, how do you keep the folders and contents from the old email address and make them belong to the new email address?

I want to keep the folders AND THEIR CONTENTS from my old email address to use under my new email address. This is important. How can I do this?

You'll need to move all mail you want to keep to the Local Folders account. If you want to keep entire folders, first create the folder underneath Local Folders, and then move the messages.

If your existing account is POP, all messages are local, so you can skip the step above.

You can then create the new account, and move the messages back to the new one.

Make sure to create a full backup of your profile before starting to move messages.
