I'm new to Firefox. I have icons on my desktop, but when I use them they take me back to Internet Explorer.
How can I put icons (links to websites) on my desktop with Firefox? Yahoo, for example. I use the Firefox search bar at the top of the page, search for Yahoo.com, go to my mailbox, try to save the site to my desktop. But when I double click on the icon, it uses Internet Explorer to go to Yahoo. In fact the icon is an Internet Explorer icon. This seems so basic, I must be missing something obvious. Any assistance will be appreciated! Thanks. Carol resykl

I guess that you haven't set Firefox as the Default Browser.
