How to save history in a file that can be opened later after deleting browser history?
I would like to delete the browser history regularly, but keep the history in some other form, that I could access in text form, for example. Is it possible to do with firefox? Sometimes it is very useful to be able to search in the history for some site that I cant find otherwise, but I would not like to keep the whole history in the browser as it is often adviced to clean the history regularly. Thanks for help!

There's usually no technical reason for having to clear history. Firefox automatically discards old history items depending on how much your computer can handle. For example, I have history dating back 1 year.
The FEBE add-on lets you export history (and import it back again).
The JSON format used for exported files isn't very readable. If you intend to read the exported files manually, you'll probably want an add-on for the job.
I would like my browser history deleted each day. How can I effect that change?
To save your history, open the history manager. Shortcut Control Shift H. At the top of the page, press the Import and Backup button. Select Export to HTML and provide a file name when asked.
