I am using Firefox 29.0. Every time I click on anything on a webpage - some ad page from akamaihd or something else opens up - not pop up window- a regular new window opens.

Secondly i get this "Search with Bing" window on each page with a page turning gid at the right hand top corner.

Both these things are extremely irritating and I would appreciate if you inform me how I can stop/remove this from happening.

Regards,

Sometimes a problem with Firefox may be a result of malware installed on your computer, that you may not be aware of.

You can try these free programs to scan for malware, which work with your existing antivirus software:

Microsoft Security Essentials is a good permanent antivirus for Windows 7/Vista/XP if you don't already have one.

Further information can be found in the Troubleshoot Firefox issues caused by malware article.
