When i try and search from the search bar, on outlook i used to be able to search within the PDF document so if i had alot of invoices with the same product on it say 'TBA123' as the product code it would bring all the documents with that in the PDF, is this something that should work on Thunderbird?

Hi folks!

When I connect my Feedly RSS to Thunderbird's RSS subscription, I can't receive any new messages. In addition, I can't see the old messages in the folders. I couldn't find any way to solve this problem (for those who use Feedly).

When adding an RSS Feed, I don't get any valid URLs, I add it via Feedly "Organize Feeds ---> OPML Export ---> Download Export file" and then via Thunderbird "Feed subscripts ---> Import ---> My OPML file".

Thunderbird correctly reads all RSS feed URLs, file names, folder contents when I add this file. I save it and thinking it works and everything is fine. However, when I click "Get new Messages", no messages come through. I check the Feedly website a few minutes later to see if there are any new messages and I can see the new messages in Feedly.

In order to solve the problem and make it more understandable screenshots are below.

I am experiencing an issue with my PEC mailbox configured in Thunderbird. In the sender column, an incorrect email address often appears, unrelated to the actual sender of the received email. In some cases, I see the phrase "on behalf of:" followed by an email address that has no connection to the message in question.

This issue makes it difficult to correctly identify the real sender of emails. I have already checked my account configuration and updated Thunderbird to the latest version, but the problem persists.

Could you please provide guidance on how to resolve this behavior?

Since moving to Windows 11 and reinstalling Thunderbird, I cannot access emails by this route. I have a domain hosted by Easily and can get to my emails directly through their Control Panel, but using the same email, password, ports etc through TB it fails to find the account. I have rechecked all the settings with Easily and tried several times entering them manually in TB, with the same result. What else can I do?

I placed it in the location: C:\Users\............\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird\Profiles\..........\Mail\Local Folders. However, when I opened Thunderbird, it did not add itself to the local folders

Do I need to force synchronization in some way?

Hi. I am trying to import into my new Mac an old Thunderbird profile that was created in a PC, but that I use in my previous Mac. In the past, I have dragged the old profile into the new profile folder, and then used About Profiles under Troubleshooting Information to link to that imported profile and set it as the Default. Now, I click on Create a New Profile and it won't let me link. Also, the Import tool did not work. What am I missing? Thank you!

I had had issues with gloda (search) for a long while. I have tried deleting the sqlite file to force a reindex as per the guidance. I am watching Activity Monitor in TB after reopening, to monitor the reindex process. But it hangs every time. it goes through sent items and seems to get stuck at one point every time. Is there any way to retrieve my actual password I typedin for an email account instead of the google "token". If not, this password may be lost forever as google will not provide reset options.

A simple yes/no will suffice, don't need an explanation, I understand that thunderbird is just using what google requires of it, but it would still be good to be able to view actual password

My incoming messages are sorted in reverse order so that the latest message is listed first. I retrieve the message headers first then I either delete the message or download the contents of the message. The problem is that when I click on the download instructions Thunderbird does download the message OK, '''BUT it highlights the message just downloaded and it jumps to the next message. '''This is very annoying because in order to read the contents of the message I have to go back one message and purposely select the message just downloaded. It did not do this previously. Please correct or tell me the corrective action I should take.

I just downloaded Thunderbird on my new Mac, asked it to synch with my email and it's done it very imperfectly, missing lots of folders and sub-folders, showing deleted and archived folders (in italics) and so on. It did this on a previous desktop too, where I uninstalled Thunderbird and reinstalled it to try - but failed - to solve the issue. What did I, or it, do wrong and how do I correct it?
