Hi! Please help me. I need to know what to do.

This just happened today. Before, everything was fine.

Starting today, when I type someone's name in the To box of my email, no email address comes up. I have to go to my address book to find out what it is and then type it in manually.

I want the old system back where I typed in the first few letters and it offered me email addresses from my address book.

What do I need to do to get it back?

Thank you.

Check to see if the feature is turned on. From the Menu Bar select Tools-Options-Composition-Addressing No menu bar? Press the alt key.

Forget about going back to the address book from the write window. Turn on the Contact Sidebar.

Open a Write window and press F9 to turn it on. Find the contact that you want and double click on it to add to an address box or select multiple contacts and use one of the Add To buttons at the bottom.

The autocomplete function in TB 31 has some bugs, mainly related to speed and text colour, but if it's not working at all, I would check to see if there's an incompatible add-on causing the problem. Run in safe mode (hold Shift (Mac:Option) when you launch TB) and see if autocomplete works (assuming it's enabled).

Thanks for your ideas. But no, the problem is not solved.
