Why do Print Preview and Print fail badly for some web pages?
The "print preview" and "print" functions of Firefox fail very badly on some web pages even though Firefox displayed those pages properly. When print preview is applied to a web page with enough content to require a few or several printed pages, preview may only show the first page of the print job and printing only prints this single page. The problem is not always fixed by tricks such as selecting all and printing the selection. This is an old problem that I understand was scheduled about two years ago to be fixed in the "next" version. Wasn't that several versions ago? To see examples of the problem, try print preview or "Print to File" on the following two web pages.

This problem is serious for students, educators and people forming contracts on-line.

Life is too short to wait for Mozilla to fix "stuff" like that. I have been waiting since 2002 for faults such as that to be fixed in Firefox. Looks to me like it is caused by DIV's that extend beyond the bottom of the first printed page. First "fault" like that and nothing beyond the first page will be printed.
Vivaldi and Google Chrome can handle that page with no problems. And the original Opera (Presto-based) didn't exhibit faults such as that, so Opera now being so similar to Vivaldi and Chrome shouldn't be have a problem, either.
