I cannot access my work email address anymore since I upgraded to Firefox 30.0 recently. When I sign in I get a message saying You need to enable JavaScript to access the Open-Xchange Server.

I've checked and found JavaScript to be actually enabled. I've also checked the site using another browser and it is okay.

you can solve this by opening firefox in Safe Mode . Since it disable all the extension and plugins so you can check whether you are fine with your email site.

once all done you can remove the plugin which produces effect there.

the other thing is checking about the flash (it makes too mashes) whether is updated and compitable with your browser.

if not then update the flash.

How exactly did you do that?

Do you run any extensions which may block Javascript, e.g. NoScript?

It's working again now but I didn't fix anything.

Unfortunately some other sites are now not working, which again are actually good in another browser. No reference to JavaScript - just blank pages.

Not sure what's going on here. Trying to access the links to articles in this newsletter https://mail.google.com/mail/u/0/#label/Ask+Leo/146f2788fde0a8b8 by Leo Notenboom.

Well, that is a link to your Gmail, which obviously only you can access.

Is it just me, or does it seem your problems related only to websites where you need to log in?

Just a SWAG - see if that happens with Multi-fox disabled.

http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/30.0/releasenotes/ The first 2 Fixed items halfway down that page might have an impact on Multi-fox compatibility in Firefox 30, as compared to Firefox 29.

If you use extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block content (e.g. Adblock Plus, NoScript, Flash Block, Ghostery) then make sure that such extensions aren't blocking content.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem.

  • Switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance
  • Do NOT click the Reset button on the Safe Mode start window

Thanks for all the helpful suggestions. The problem no longer seems to exist but i don't know what solved it.
