Why doesn't right click, open in new tab, not set focus to the link anymore? How do I get it back?

The question pretty much says it all. In the past, if I right clicked on a link and chose open in new tab, when I went back to the originating page focus would be on the link. So if I then did a page down it would start from the link. Now, it starts from somewhere else, typically further up the page, so I end up going over the same stuff again. I'd like to go back to the way it was, how can I do that?

Currently running Firefox version 32.0.2.

It seems that the culprit was a setting in Tab Mix Plus. In Options > Events > New Tabs > Focus content when loading non blank page was not checked. When checked, Firefox works as expected. At least as expected by me.

Hi tasdav, Did any of your preferences change in the Tabs section of the Options menu? What do you have selected here?

I have not changed any of my preferences and they look like they are as I would have left them.

I tried resetting Firefox and deleting the preference file, no change.

By the way, I hate that the tabs are on top and not where they belong above the pages they are for. There should still be a way in Firefox to put them back without having to use an add-in.
