I'm running Firefox 33.1 on an iMac with _________ OS. A few days ago I reset Firefox to help it run faster. Since then, it's been crashing on an inconsistent but frequent basis. Of note is that the crash report window does not come up automatically, and when I bring the Submitted Crash Reports list up manually, it shows the last crash as happening almost eight months ago.

guigs2,

No, the crash from 8 months ago shows version 28.0.

Is it not very weird that the crash log showed *none* of the multiple crashes from the other day?

Of course it is. I was doing some testing an we might be able to look at new crashes in a new profile if this is also happening. Please try these steps, we can check to make sure it is not profile related:

  1. Open terminal window
  2. Navigate to /Applications/Utilities. Open the Terminal application.
  3. In the Terminal application, enter the following:

/Applications/Firefox.app/Contents/MacOS/firefox-bin -p

Please try a new profile. Does this crash as well?
