When I use Chrome and go to tms cartoons, I get cartoons that are not available using Firefox. How can this be? I am on the exact same site!

What is missing is the latest cartoon by specific artists such as Drew Sheneman. I have even copied the address from chrome and plugged it into firefox... but I get a page missing the latest cartoon! How can the same page display different material.... the older cartoons are all there.... there is no way to separate the latest cartoon from the others

I tried to post screen shots with the original post but it was trying to load for more than 1/2 hour so I gave up... I will try again now. Now it won't even browse my computer... I will try to use Chrome

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • Hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • Press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • Press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

I see two more images than shown in the Google Chrome screenshot, so more have been added.

cor-el's answer will probably fix this. It looks like this is not a Firefox issue, but an issue with the website's cache settings. Websites sometimes set a high cache value to keep from serving you the same page over and over again. Unfortunately this can cause pages to appear outdated.

Doing a full refresh of the page, using the instructions in cor-el's reply, should fix this.

I did this. I even closed the browser and re-opened it.... it still would not show the newer cartoons... I even closed chrome and re-opened it after opening Firefox.... Chrome again showed the new cartoons but Firefox didn't!! Could there be some kind of trojan or virus changing the version of the web page only for Firefox? Its just really weird!

Try to reset (power on/off) the router.

Boot the computer in Windows Safe Mode with network support (press F8 on the boot screen) as a test.

Do you see the images in "Tools > Page Info > Media"?

You can remove all data stored in Firefox from a specific domain via "Forget About This Site" in the right-click context menu of an history entry ("History > Show All History" or "View > Sidebar > History") or via the about:permissions page.

Using "Forget About This Site" will remove all data stored in Firefox from that domain like bookmarks, cookies, passwords, cache, history, and exceptions, so be cautious and if you have a password or other data from that domain that you do not want to lose then make sure to backup this data or make a note.

You can't recover from this 'forget' unless you have a backup of the involved files.

It doesn't have any lasting effect, so if you revisit such a 'forgotten' website then data from that website will be saved once again.
